About the Role:
Drive best practice learning and capability development outcomes in this diverse new role and take on the opportunity to shape our entry talent programs for success and produce our future leaders of tomorrow.
Reporting to our Learning & Development Manager, you will develop and deploy technical and professional learning pathways that will support and enable our entry talent to achieve their ultimate potential throughout their program and beyond. Working collaboratively will be a key priority as you partner with the business and teams across a broad range of programs we offer for university students and graduates, vocational education, apprentices and trainees.
Additionally, your key contributions and focus areas will be:
Building relationships with Universities, TAFE and Schools in relation to Learning and Development programs and facilitating connections with internal stakeholder teams to promote and educate on the various career pathways.
Re-defining our graduate program that will effectively support capability development, employee engagement, retention and attraction.
Supporting in developing the on-boarding and development of Alcoa’s Traineeship and Apprenticeship programs.
Collaborating with HR, L&D, talent acquisition, operational and functional teams on workforce planning and strategic priorities.
Creating and maintaining all Entry Program policies and procedures, ensuring safety and compliance.
Benchmarking programs to ensure best practice and continuous improvement to position Alcoa as employee of choice for entry talent.

What you can bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or related discipline.
Experience in managing entry level talent programs with relevant industry exposure would be considered highly desirable.
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation that pertains to all entry programs in particular Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Qualification Framework. Including knowledge of all Training and development matters including Competency Based Training and Assessment.
Well-developed communication skills and ability to influence at all levels, driving positive outcomes.
Adaptability and flexibility to regularly travel across our WA locations to stay connected with our operations and remain updated on business needs.
