About the Role:

Can you blend your strength in strategic leadership with your track record in maintenance and reliability to drive performance at our mine sites? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Reporting directly to the General Manager for mining, you will provide an important leadership role across our 2 mine sites, Willowdale and Huntly, within our reliability engineering and maintenance planning functions. This includes the development and implementation of location wide maintenance and reliability improvement strategies to deliver significant benefits in areas of production loss and maintenance costs.

Core activities includes:

  • Provides the functional and technical leadership in applying existing and emerging reliability improvement, equipment compliance management, asset integrity and maintenance planning processes to the location.

  • Responsible for all the reliability engineering, maintenance planning and equipment / asset programs and the associated measurement systems across both Huntly and Willowdale mines.

  • Accountable for delivering and providing guidance on hazard management, maintenance and engineering standards and systems effectiveness.

  • Provides functional leadership to the provision of engineering and maintenance systems best-practice across WA and provides input on systems strategies.

  • Responsible for providing high level direction for the reliability and maintenance functions across the Mining group, with respect to reliability systems, systems management, and reporting.

  • Ensures that technical standards are provided that meet both external and internal Engineering Standards and Statutory Regulations.

  • Plays an active role in the development of both mining locations medium and long-term business strategy, operating plans, and budgetary processes.

What you can bring to the role:

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering with experience of leading diverse and inclusive teams within site based mining environments.

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and managing asset maintenance and reliability.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of safe equipment management – asset strategies, sparing, planning & execution.

  • Drives initiatives to reduce losses from equipment downtime and reduce maintenance costs.

  • Proven experience in the creation and implementation of maintenance strategies.

  • Detail orientated, pragmatic and possess a practical mindset.

  • Passion for excellence and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrates best practice regarding EHS to maintain a safe work environment for everyone.

Whilst the position is based in our Mining Hub in Pinjarra, you will be required to travel to both our local mine sites based in the Peel Region.
