  • Lead the end‑to‑end service assurance and quality framework
  • Transform QA using automation, AI insights and system‑led controls
  • Attractive hybrid work model | Energy Discounts |Career Growth Opportunities

Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.

We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.

Ready to make a real impact?

As the Service Assurance Functional Owner, you will step into a newly created, highly strategic role responsible for defining and governing Alinta Energy’s end‑to‑end service assurance model across Customer Operations. The focus of this role is quality and assurance transformation - shifting the organisation from largely manual, retrospective Quality Assurance to proactive, system‑enabled assurance driven by data, automation and AI insights.

You will own quality standards, assurance frameworks and knowledge governance, ensuring regulatory, customer and commercial outcomes are consistently delivered at scale. Working closely with Operations, Product, Digital and Technology teams, you will embed assurance logic directly into platforms such as Genesys, enabling automated monitoring, real‑time guidance and meaningful reporting.

This role provides clear visibility of how people, processes and systems are performing, translating quality data, complaints and risk indicators into actionable improvement opportunities. Presenting regularly to senior leaders, you will influence change across the business, while accountability for delivery remains with functional owners.

Why you’ll love working here

At Alinta Energy, we’re taking real action to deliver reliable and sustainable energy for Australia - and that practical approach runs through everything we do. You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.

There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy, including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.

What you’ll do

  • Own and govern the end‑to‑end service assurance and quality framework
  • Define quality standards aligned to regulatory, CX and commercial outcomes
  • Design system‑led and AI‑assisted assurance models to reduce manual QA
  • Lead analysis of quality, complaints and operational risk drivers
  • Translate insight into cross‑functional improvement initiatives
  • Own knowledge governance, standards and platform integration
  • Partner with Product and Technology to embed assurance into workflows

Your experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in service assurance, quality or regulatory environments
  • Strong background in quality frameworks and control design
  • Experience with telephony platforms and automated QA or AI insights
  • Ability to analyse complex workflows and identify systemic risk
  • Proven stakeholder influence across operations, technology and leaders
  • Experience supporting service or digital transformation initiatives
  • Background in highly regulated industries (energy, banking, insurance or similar)
  • Experience with Genesys is preferred

Please note this role requires full working rights within Australia.

This role suits a strategic, commercially minded leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys driving large‑scale transformation through data, technology and strong stakeholder influence.
