Ready to make a real impact?
Join our Legal & Company Secretary team in a broad, full-time role supporting Board and Committee administration, corporate governance, legal operations systems and business enquiries. You’ll gain exposure to senior stakeholders while building practical capability across legal technology, contracts and company secretarial work.
Why you’ll love working here
At Alinta Energy, we’re taking real action to deliver reliable and sustainable energy for Australia, and that practical approach runs through everything we do. You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.
There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy, including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.
What you’ll do
- Coordinating Board and Committee administration, papers, actions and corporate records
- Managing shared Contracts and Company Secretariat inboxes, enquiries and follow-up actions
- Administering legal technology platforms, user access, information quality, training and reporting
- Supporting corporate compliance activities, including ASIC filings, annual reviews, KYC and due diligence requests
- Maintaining registers, templates, procedures and practical guidance across the Legal & Company Secretary function.
Your experience
- Experience as a legal assistant, document controller, contracts administrator or team administrator
- Strong attention to detail and confidence balancing competing deadlines
- Clear communication and a practical, customer-focused approach to stakeholder support
- Basic understanding of legal or commercial terminology, processes and documents
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and document, contract or legal operations systems.
Please note this is a full-time role and requires full working rights within Australia.
Experience with LawVu, Diligent Boards, Diligent Entities or the energy sector will be viewed favourably, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership and remains calm when priorities shift. You’ll receive a structured handover and support while building confidence across governance, legal technology and corporate administration.
