- Lead commercial outcomes on a landmark WA wind farm project
- Influence major contracts, claims and project governance
- Support WA's transition to a cleaner energy future
Alinta Energy is one of Australia’s biggest energy retailers, generators and developers with over 1.1 million customers. Australia’s energy system is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history and we’re right there with it. We’re investing in and developing large-scale renewables and storage projects as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
We understand that flexibility matters when considering your next role. Let us know your requirements, and we’ll carefully consider how we might accommodate them.
About the role
Join Alinta Energy and play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Marri Wind Farm, a landmark renewable energy project located approximately 140km north of Perth. Set to harness the region’s significant renewable energy resources, support energy security, regional economic activity, and Western Australia’s broader decarbonisation objectives, this major development will play an important role in the state's energy transition. As Commercial Manager, you'll lead all commercial matters across the project, protecting Alinta Energy's commercial interests, driving governance and reporting frameworks, and providing commercial leadership across a complex multi-contractor delivery environment. This is a rare opportunity to influence a project of significant scale and leave a lasting impact on Australia's energy future.
Why you’ll love working here
At Alinta Energy, we’re taking real action to deliver reliable and sustainable energy for Australia - and that practical approach runs through everything we do. You’ll get clear direction, genuine flexibility, and the support you need to grow, all while working on projects that make a lasting difference. We’re big enough to create impact, but small enough that your ideas and effort will always be seen.
There are plenty of other great benefits of working for Alinta Energy, including flexible working, energy discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a paid volunteer day each year, fully stocked kitchens, and lots more.

- Lead the assessment and management of claims, variations, extension of time requests and other commercial matters.
- Establish governance, reporting frameworks and commercial controls to support successful project delivery.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team while partnering with Project Delivery, Finance, Legal and Executive stakeholders.
Your experience
- 7-10 years’ experience in commercial, contract or project management roles within major infrastructure, construction, energy or resources projects.
- Demonstrated success managing complex contracts and representing a project owner or principal in large-scale project environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience assessing claims, variations, risk and project performance.
- Proven leadership capability, including leading teams and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality commercial correspondence, build trusted relationships and confidently navigate competing priorities.
