About the role:
We are looking for a Software Quality Automation Lead to join our IT Digital team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to ensure that the product and service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
Duties:
- Liaise with the Business Analyst and Technical Analyst during user story definition to ensure acceptance test criteria is adequately defined.
- Supervise all testing activities and work closely with the team to ensure the product or services are tested thoroughly.
- Plan testing activity as part of a scrum delivery teams across functional domains such as billing, credit, payments and customer care.
- Work with the delivery team to perform system end to end testing, (integration, regression and user acceptance Testing).
- Assist in the development of analysis that may be required for developing workarounds where a defect cannot be corrected for a release.
Skills and experience:
- Extensive Testing experience utilising Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum)
- Strong understanding of Testing Framework and Automation tools.
- Ability to develop defect management policies and defect status reporting and to assist in the preparation of testing status and risk reports.
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a range of tasks as delegated throughout the project lifecycle.
- High Level of SQL, Confluence and JIRA knowledge.
Whilst it’s advantageous to have RPA development experience such as UiPath, this is not essential. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Software Quality Automation Lead who is looking to manage Quality Testing and lead a small team in a professional environment. You will be a key member of the Digital IT team and have the opportunity to truly make your mark in this brand new created role.
