About the role:
We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Desktop Support Analyst to join our Technology team in Morwell on a full-time, permanent basis. This role would be best suited to someone who wants to deliver a client focused service experience in a professional and timely manner whilst providing high-level desktop support, user administration and new hardware.
Due to the varied nature of this role, you will be expected to hit the ground running and utilise your ability to pivot on requests where necessary!
Duties:
- Coaching and provide onsite direction to the Desktop Support Analyst including prioritisation, management and processing of incoming incident and service requests via Service Now, phone and MS Teams chat
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines
- Help maintain desktop asset list for all computer across the Morwell and remote sites
- Train new and existing staff on the use of hardware and software used within Alinta
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of support activities, solutions, knowledge articles and user guides
Skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with end users
- Good problem solving and analytical skills, analytical ability to plan and achieve a variety of IT support tasks;
- You will be a positive team player, who has flexibility, energy and initiative who values open communication and rapport-building with clients
- Knowledge of current Information Technologies including Microsoft suite of products and Operating Systems, Local Area Networks, Active Directory and Group Policies;
- An understanding of ServiceNow and automation tools would be advantageous
