About the role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Corporate Safety Specialist to join our Corporate Services team based in Sydney. This role will play a crucial role in providing support and intervention advice to stakeholders across the business and assist with the implementation of effective strategies to reduce psychosocial and office-based safety risks across the company.

Reporting to the Group Safety Manager, this permanent, full-time role requires a deep understanding of psychological principles, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to promoting mental and emotional well-being.

In this role, you’ll be:

  • Assisting the business to ensure effective controls to manage psychosocial risks across the business
  • Strengthen organisation understanding of psychosocial risks by developing educational material and conduct coaching / training as required
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders by proactively integrating into teams and attending the appropriate team, business-unit, and consultation meetings
  • Ensure office safety committees meet their safety obligations, including ensuring there are sufficiently trained first aid officers and emergency wardens at each location
  • Involvement with Office Ergonomics, HSE System Management, RTW Management and Wellbeing HSE Communication.

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor degree in Organisational Psychology / Psychology / Occupational Therapy / or safety management systems
  • Experience with corporate safety business partnering role and communication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in a similar role with a strong focus on implementing psychosocial well-being
  • Experience operating in a matrix organisation/ change management environment would be looked upon favourably
