About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Industry Development Manager to join our Retail Operations team in this full time permanent position. Reporting to the Head of Industry, Networks & Metering, this role is responsible for representing Alinta Energy and actively participating in various industry engagement channels relating to B2B & B2M processes to ensure the best outcomes for the business.
Duties:
- Work with internal (functional/stream leads, Product Owners) and external stakeholders (AEMO, Networks, Meter Providers, Other Retailers that form part of the relevant forum) to proactively identify market operational impacts to Alinta Energy for electricity and Gas services.
- Attend and represent Alinta Energy in various engagement channels such as ongoing AEMO chaired forums (ERCF, B2BWG, GRCF) and ad-hoc forums as needed.
- Initial change impacts are to be assessed with the assistance of the relevant SME’s across Alinta Energy.
- Creation of and responding on behalf of Alinta to formal consultation submissions issued by the Market Operator.
- Effective engagement with Alinta’s retail solutions team to ensure successful integration of market changes into Alinta Operations and technology business units.
Skills and experience:
- Considerable experience within a network, metering provider, energy retailer, network, or relevant government environment.
- Proven experience in drafting clear and comprehensive submissions to Industry changes.
- Understands the complexities of managing projects across several market participants as a result of agreed industry change.
- Computer skills including excellent knowledge of MS Office & SQL with the ability to produce complex documents and able to navigate around systems.
- Communication: Strong written and oral communicator. Ability to argue cases and counter resistance to change or getting buy in from stakeholders.
