About the role:
This role is critical in overseeing GIS processes, data management, and visualizations for both the Asset Strategy business unit and our project development portfolio. In addition to being responsible for the GIS environment, this role entails close collaboration with peers in the Asset Strategy team, playing a pivotal role in supporting project developments from initial concept assessment to final investment decision and through to delivery.
In this role, you will :
- Establish procedures and systems for acquiring, retaining, and managing data, ensuring that inputs into project development are current and accurate.
- Recognize, assess, obtain and manage geospatial and remote sensing data, encompassing satellite imagery, light detection and ranging (LiDAR).
- Perform spatial analysis to identify and quantitatively rank potential project developments.
- Assist the project development team throughout the conceptualization, pre-feasibility and feasibility study stages for potential development projects.
