About the role
Join Alinta Energy as a Commercial Advisor, where you'll be essential in managing our WA wholesale electricity and gas portfolios alongside a collaborative team. This position is for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, ensuring strategic direction is achieved while maximising revenue from our generation and retail business units. You will be based in our Perth office, covering a 12-month max term contract, with opportunities for growth and potential progression into other roles for the right candidate.

What you'll do
- Optimise the gas and electricity portfolios to maximise revenue and minimising costs while ensuring compliance with market regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with external parties to facilitate gas contract negotiations and energy procurement.
- Analyse market conditions and trends to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Provide analytical support for contract management, ensuring timely negotiations and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, finance and regulatory teams to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Support Alinta Energy’s growing asset development pipeline with market strategies and expertise.
Your experience
- Demonstrated experience in the west coast energy market, especially within wholesale electricity.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
