As an Account Manager in our Commercial & Industrial team, you'll play a critical role in strengthening Alinta Energy’s presence across the business customer portfolio. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with C&I customers, negotiate and secure energy supply contracts, and identify growth opportunities across your portfolio. This role combines commercial acumen, customer engagement, and strategic account management - perfect for someone who enjoys being a self-starter, is motivated to achieve targets, and can work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

What you’ll do
- Manage a portfolio of Commercial & Industrial customers, strengthening relationships and driving retention
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive outreach, lead follow‑up and industry engagement
- Oversee the complete sales lifecycle, from preparing proposals to negotiating, executing and renewing contracts
- Deliver timely and accurate market insights that support commercial decision‑making
- Partner closely with Billing, Credit, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure a smooth end‑to‑end customer experience
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales information in CRM systems, while contributing to ongoing process improvements
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, ensuring a consistently high standard of service
- Support a collaborative, high‑performing team by sharing knowledge, contributing ideas and fostering strong internal relationships
Your experience
- Proven account management experience in a complex B2B sales environment
- Demonstrated sales success with a track record of exceeding targets
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and time management
- Proven capability to build productive relationships across internal teams and an understanding of how effective account management influences wider business operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM, with a growth mindset toward continuous improvement
