At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can’t afford to fail. We’re more than 85 000 people worldwide creating the industry most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.
More than a job: a mission
Your role, your impact
We are recruiting two Interface Managers to work on a major rail project. One for Brownfield and Greenfield works (perm full time), and one for B2N (18 month fixed term contract). In these roles you will:
- Coordinate and maintain the Interface Matrix, Interface Register, IDS, and ICDs ensuring seamless integration across a complex ETCS Level 2 programme.
- Monitor interface progress, identify issues and blockers, and drive actions to resolution.
- Review and align interface artefact planning with the Project Planning Manager.
- Participate as required with the Integration Manager to the relevant Working Groups set by the SI.
- Lead technical interface discussions with designers, suppliers, and subcontractors during design and construction.
- Review design documentation to ensure compliance with agreed ICDs.
- Maintain clear reporting, dashboards, and action trackers related to interface delivery.
You’ll work with sharp, committed teams across Altom — solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility.
What you bring
- A university degree in Engineering.
- Several years of hands-on experience in interface management, with a proven ability to coordinate and manage complex technical interfaces within rail or signalling projects.
- Strong understanding of interlocking design and core interface management principles.
- Solid knowledge of the rail environment, including engineering practices and standards; experience with ETCS Level 2 is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience working within rail, with a sound grasp of engineering systems, processes, and delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with progress dashboards and the ability to maintain and track action item lists to support project delivery and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- High attention to detail, strong time management, and a professional approach.
- Commitment to EH&S performance and quality delivery.
How success is measured
- Timely delivery of IDS and ICDs in line with CIM and project milestones.
- Clear visibility of interface status through accurate progress reporting and action tracking.
- Effective resolution of interface issues across Brownfield and Greenfield scopes.
- Compliance of design outputs with approved ICDs.
- Strong collaboration with internal teams and contractors.
- Consistent adherence to EH&S and project quality standards.
Here, progress isn’t always easy — the scale is massive, the tasks are complex — but the impact is real. Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects — that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
