We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer for our Rolling Stock Sourcing team to be part of an exciting project based in our manufacturing site in Dandenong!You will be responsible for all Interior parts related to the Rolling Stock project requirements.

We are looking for a passionate Buyer to join our Melbourne team, driving procurement excellence and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services that power sustainable mobility. As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, you will contribute to projects that define the future of rail transport.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure scalability and cost efficiency across procurement operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and project teams to align sourcing strategies with production needs.
  • Ensure reliability in supply chain performance through proactive risk management and supplier audits.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new sourcing opportunities and implementing digital procurement tools such as SAP Ariba.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the procurement community to strengthen best practices.
  • You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Procurement
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and category management principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP for procurement and inventory control.
  • Ability to analyze supplier performance using KPIs and cost models.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation techniques and supplier risk assessment frameworks.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on cross-functional communication and stakeholder engagement.

  • On-time delivery of materials aligned with project milestones.
  • Effective collaboration with internal teams and supplier networks.
  • Reduction in procurement cycle times and improvement in cost efficiency.
