We have an exciting opportunity for a Train Control Engineer to join our team in Milton, Brisbane.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, analysing, tesing and demonstrating engineering rollingstock solutions based on the requirements provided
- Providing cost and schedule estimates on engineering programs
- Applying the principles of system engineering to the sub system architecture, interfaces, integration and design
- Performing design assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience and providing advice and guidance to other engineers or designers
- Managing the functional and technical interface between Vehicle Engineering and TCMS Engineering according to the vehicle engineering process
- Developing and reviewing technical specifications, estimating costs and schedules, planning work with design team and managing the technical delivery and compliance of sub-systems suppliers’ deliveries
- Assembling software and/or hardware items through all levels up to form a complete subsystem (e.g. TCMS Platform Architecture or TCMS user application software), according to the architectural and design specifications
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 4 to 8 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in Electrical systems engineering
- Rollingstock experience is desirable
