Looking for the next step in your career? Our Dandenong Site houses over 4 Rolling Stock projects and is Alstom's biggest Rolling Stock Manufacturing site in Australia! We are currently looking for a Site Industrial Director who will work closely with the Site MD on esuring the site conforms with the standards and regulations set up accordingly. Working closely with key internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring coordination of all 4 major functions and make key decisions in respect to the EHS regulations and ensure continuous improvement (APSYS) by industrial teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Industrial Engineering: Ensures "manufacturability" in a Co-Engineering mode
- Manufacturing Engineering: Preparing the work for the parts produced on site (internal parts)
- Supply Chain: Define and implement logistic strategy, pulls long lead time items, procures and handles material, drives the industrial planning and delivers on time along the assembly line the internal & external parts, as well as the components and the sub-systems,
- Manufacturing: Produces internal parts, assembles the trains and realizes the serial testing after serial GO.
- You will support and be incharge of elaborating the industrial strategy, and consolidating the industrial costing.
- Supporting the Project Idustrial Manager, who is in charge of all the industrial aspects of the project (industrial development, 1st train, serial production), with the support of the key functions mentioned above.
Requirements for the position:
- Technical qualfiication - preferably in Engineering (Electrical. Mechanical, Mechatronics)
- Proven track record in a managing teams in an indusrtial environment
- Project Management expereince
- Working experience on SAP ERP.
