We are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to work alongside our Industrialisation team for the X'trapolis 2.0 project in Ballarat.
The primary responsibilities for this role will be to define and validate the detailed manufacturing process, perform industrial documentation, define industrial master data for the project and set the manufacturing method time. You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement actions and product and process changes.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the Industrialisation team to guide product definition in order to improve the product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets.
- Participate to the product design reviews when required.
- Estimate and then calculate the method time.
- Request tooling when needed and write tooling specifications.
- Perform work stations task sequencing.
- Validate product design and industrialization through FAR and FAI.
- Industrialize retrofit after engineering changes: Routings, Work Instructions, and tooling.
Qualifications, Skills and Expereince required includes:
- Engineering degree is required
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in the railway industry.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
- Experience in working with an ERP (SAP preferred)
- Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics.
- Familiar with process suc h as FMEA, QRQC and time analysis (MTM, MEK, UAS).
