We are currently looking for an experienced Safety Assurance Engineer to join the Digital Systems Team!
In this role, the Project Safety Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing System Safety Cases and working with customers and authorities on the Alstom methodology for Safety Management and Safety demonstration. Specifically, this position will concentrate on delivering Alstom Safety Assurance commitments for the Digital Systems portfolio of works, based in Sydney NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the strict application of Alstom Safety Management processes and tools
- Decide on the method of safety assurance to be applied on projects, in accordance with the Alstom Transport Safety policy and the Project’s relevant standards (CENELEC, IEC)
- Establish the Safety Assurance Plan, Safety Analysis, Hazard Log, Safety Report
- Build the System Safety Case, integrating the Safety Cases of the associated products and generic applications, and ensure its completeness and acceptance
- Advise on Safety Cases findings in consultation with assessors and clients.
To be successful
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Relevant experience working within Safety Assurance in a Systems bases environment (Signalling highly desirable).
- Previous experience within Signalling Systems Engineering, specifically with exposure to Onboard Signalling and/or ETCS technology and projects
- Good Communication and Interpersonal skills.
