An experienced Project Change and Configuration Manager is sought to join our New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) project team. Based in the Wulkuraka facility and/ or Milton office, this is an opportunity to join the team, delivering the most accessible rail fleet for QLD.
Role Purpose:
As a member of the Project Core Team, reporting to the Project Director, the Project Change and Configuration Manager is responsible for the application of the Configuration and Change Management process within the project and keeps the project under Configuration and Change Management control.
This role has key links with all PrXMs and CCM Interface Functions, external suppliers and partners. It plans, integrates, develops, drives and monitors the application of the Configuration and Change Management process as described in the Configuration and Change Management internal Procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Plans, implements and drives CCM process within their project or program and represents the CCM Métier in project and site meetings
- Creates, aligns, maintains and releases the Configuration Management Plan including the Change Management Setup (Change Boards, R&R, interfaces, Accelerated Processes etc.) latest until end of Launch phase together with project/ program core team and ensures that plans of other functions are harmonized with the CMP and checks and updates the CMP during whole Project Life Cycle (if necessary)
- Analyses, reviews and provides the compliance statement on CCM related requirements (customer, partner and internal)
- Identifies, verifies the items to be put under configuration control (Configuration Items and/or Target Items)
- Creates and maintains the Configuration Item List and /or the Target Item List for Configuration Baselines, ensuring relevant data and documentation is recorded, monitored and actioned appropriately in line with compliance and procedural requirements
- Measures / reports CCM process performance / maturity (Key Performance Indicators) and derivates and manages actions (PDCA)
- Ensures the necessary Configuration and Change Management tools are in place including all interfaces (e.g., Partners)
- Analyses, reviews and maintains CCM related risks and opportunities and ensures Return of Experience on CCM activities
- Resolves and escalates any CCM related issues in the project / program to the Chief of Development/ Chief of Operations or Project / Program Director and the respective supervisor of the CCM function for resolution.
Qualifications:
- Engineering or Project Management degree or equivalent
- CMII certificate is desirable
Experience:
- Proven experience and understanding of Configuration & Change Management and how its related processes such as Requirements Management, Data Management and Document Control inter-relate with the Business Processes
- Experience in Business Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Engineering and/or Industrialization
- Knowledge of railway or rail related products, systems and/or components
- Knowledge of the standard information systems of the digital chain (SAP, PLM, Change Tools, etc.)
