About the role: Alstom has a permanent opportunity for a System Integration Engineer to join the Engineering team for a Rail Technology Program based in Perth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the interface and integration works between RMS signalling system and Trackworker ID/ADDC/NTP back office systems
- Analyse/review Technical documentation and inputs including design drawings, specifications, operational rules, manuals, existing hazards.
- Write/review feasibility studies, ICDs, Requirement apportionment and test plans/procedures.
- Review/Support System Architecture Definition and interface design between systems (conceptual and detailed)
- Providing impact assessment reports for any change required to legacy subsystems.
- Execute Engineering Type Tests at site for different rolling stock classes.
- Provide technical support for engineering design and installation
- Liaise between the engineering team and client technical stakeholders
- Report progress against schedule, highlighting key issues and risks
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in IT Engineering
- Proven knowledge and experience in the areas of IT, networking, cybersecurity, databases.
- Knowledge of remote device management, authentication security, RFID cards (Mifare) and how to setup and manage portable devices.
- Demonstrated experience in design, system interface, installation and project delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management skills including ability to interface with suppliers, customers, partners and internal stakeholders
- Previous experience in projects deploying ticketing systems
