This full-time position is a night shift role and would suit a reliable, flexible, and hardworking person who can work independently and proactively with little supervision in a team environment.
You will enjoy working with a supportive team and using your skills. If you have:
- Experience in timber, plastics, paint, varnish, upholstery, light gauge metal fabrication and fibreglass or welding qualifications would be an advantage.
- Experience in automotive glazing using modern adhesives.
- Have experience working in rail car maintenance (highly regarded but not essential).
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as engineering drawings and operation manuals.
- Willing to undertake further training to achieve additional qualifications if required.
- Work according to the roster arrangements, including weekends and public holiday work when required.
- Undertake a variety of activities that may involve a degree of physical labour.
Qualification and Skills
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship as a vehicle artisan, e.g. Vehicle body builder, Car and Wagon Builder, Carpenter, Upholsterer, Painter, Shop-fitter or equivalent.
- Hold or be prepared to obtain a forklift licence or other permits as required;
