This is Fixed Term 24 Months job opportunity as Maintenance Planner in our Preston, VIC office.
Purpose of the job
The role of the Maintenance Planner / Overhaul Coordinator is to provide support for the maintenance of the E Fleet in the areas of Planning and Logistics. They are to help to ensure that the fleet complies with the technical maintenance plan. They are to assist in the continual improvement of the performance of the E Class Fleet and the Service department as a whole.
Key responsibilities:
Preventative & Corrective Maintenance Planning
- Plan & Communicate the Preventative Maintenance for the fleet each week ensuring that no tram in the fleet goes outside its tolerance band, including creation of work orders.
- Plan and Schedule Corrective Maintenance for the fleet including creation of work orders.
Overhaul Planning / Coordination
- Plan, Schedule & Communicate the Overhauls for the fleet.
- Monitor and report on Base Scope Overruns (Validation of Overhaul variations with all parties)
Administration / Other Duties
- Assist Engineering with Monitoring of faults arising from overhauls components and report on any negative trends
- Assist in Updating and monitoring of all databases used within the organization for overhauled components including the maintenance, fault, quality, and feedback databases.
Relevant experience required
Should have practical experience in the following:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Rolling Stock Fleet Operational environment preferred
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance, planning, overhauls and modifications
- A good understanding of contractual requirements
- Understanding of requirements of Rail Safety
- Data collection and statistical skills
- Be able to read and understand engineering and schematic drawings, sketches etc.
Education
- University qualified engineer in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical discipline.
