The Opportunity
An opportunity for a Process and Manufacturing Engineering (PME) Lead has become available position to support the growth of our business based at our Bellevue site. Newly created, this senior position will include both technical requirements and strategic deliverables, offering both variety and the ability to remain connected with your particular technical speciality.
Overseeing a team of manufacturing engineers across the special processes for Alstom including welding, crimping, painting, gluing, press fitting and torque tightening, we see this as an organic step up for a specialist within one of these fields.
Located at our well-appointed, newly built facility at Bellevue, the PME Lead reports directly to the Site MD and is accountable for the management of special processes and critical operations regarding product safety and reliability.
Key responsibilities include;

Validation activities across the tender and project execution phases in addition to the management of staff capacity and competencies and control of the actual and forecasted workload

Participation in building and improving standards and collaboration between business units and functions

Manage EHS (environment, health and safety) requirements

Ensure the overall function of special processes are managed and executed in accordance with business requirements.
About you
-
Proven technical experience within one of the special processes or engineering realms within rolling stock or rail manufacturing
-
Technical experience of process engineering, writing and improving manufacturing working instructions, line balancing and lean manufacturing

Working experience with an ERP (such as SAP)

A dedicated team member with a naturally collaborative leadership style and ability to coach others, identify risks and promote a safe, inclusive working culture.
