Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Ryan Paine (Project Configuration and Change Manager, Dandenong), and work alongside motivated and passionate teammates. The role is shared between 2 locations; Preston is the main location with a requirement to work from Southbank twice a week.
You’ll add to the alignment between Alstom MMIS (Maintenance Management Information System) and Yarra Trams MMIS. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project team, YT Trams), ensuring compliance for the integration documents (Part A and B) between Alstom and Yarra Trams and much more.
You’ll specifically look at item location history, Asset move history, Serial Number history, Updates to Configuration and Stock levels in YT Maximo are maintained and work with YT Trams to develop and improve synergies to improve processes between both companies.
We’ll look to you for:
- Provide technical solutions to correct track defects. Implement temporary mitigation when necessary
- Investigate noise complaints caused potentially by track defects
- Request creation of necessary engineering references (DTR)
- Prepare risk assessments to support potential Engineering Exceptions
- Provide technical inputs and expected deliverables during preparation of RFQ
- Propose improvement to increase reliability and maintainability of the track assets (design / process)
- Provide the technical inputs for CCB (Change Configuration Board)
- Support in carrying out track walks with the maintenance technicians
- Coordinate with other entities (other ALSTOM activities/ civil work partners…) for the technical aspects of the track interfaces and especially with the civil works
All about you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have
- Practical experience with managing the configuration of equipment
- Understanding of systems and their inter-connection
- Be able to read and understand engineering and schematic drawings, sketches etc.
- Data collection and statistical skills
- Utilized and experience in using an Asset Information System such as Maximo
- Minimum of Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Outlook and MS Excel
- Understanding of Maximo (Desirable), but configuration experience within a CMMS or ERP system required
- Understanding of power apps (Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Flows, Power BI) desirable
- A tertiary qualified Engineer or Certified Tradesperson (Electrical or Mechanical)
