Join us as a System Engineer based out in Perth. Projects will include in priority Perth HCS to bring more modern, integrated, communications-based train control system and allowing more trains to run more often to supporting the significant expansion in passenger rail services.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the System Engineer supports the team regarding the overall technical and engineering deliverables as well as interfacing with our clients, internal Alstom units.
Lead the design and specification of a system or a sub-system part of it for new development or evolutions of existing ones, in complement to its system designer role.
- Conduct kick-off meeting with design team to confirm scope + delivery dates.
- Analyse and confirm the input required to Project Engineering manager and Sub System Leaders for the architecture description and system specification.
- Deliver Project System level documents Ex: Requirement Specification/ Architecture/Operational Specification, External Interface specification etc.
- Project Application documents including: scheme plan, signalling rules, system naming rules, network addressing plan, system parameter computation, system database, review reports.
- Analysing and replying to the reports/comments from Testing & Commission, Verification and Validation + stakeholder.
- Promoting and practicing the Alstom code of ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering - Computer Science
- Rigorous, autonomous, good analytic and synthesis skills.
- Strong technical coordination (Meetings, CCB, Reviews).
- Demonstrated communication and reporting skills
