Alstom is excited to share the opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our QLD team. Newly created and based in Wulkuraka, this role oversees the recently confirmed, New Generation Rollingstock trains’ accessibility upgrade program.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Project Manager is accountable for the project performance in alignment with contractual requirements and customer expectations. Working alongside a team of subject matter experts and colleagues who have grown with the fleet’s inception, you can apply your project management skills and knowledge for a global rail manufacturer.

As the lead of project activities including project governance, your interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills will be a fundamental requirement. Additionally, we are seeking;
- Proven Project Manager experience (this could also be from an acting or short term role), ideally within the rail or related industry,
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate and build relationships across all levels of a multi-national organization, and;
- Confident understanding and application of project governance, risk and planning.
This role will lead and guide the project team and team members, role modelling a positive and safe working culture and is a core part of the senior leadership team for the project.
