Your future role
An opportunity has become available to join Alstom within our QNGR maintenance project. The team within this project play a critical role in ensuring the New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) train fleet is maintained and operating to the highest standard.
Joining the team as the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the operational teams across to optimize the NGR fleet performance while ensuring that safety remains top priority. You will primarily be based at our depot in Wulkuraka, however you will be required to travel to Bowen Hills and other sites, as required.
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading, coaching and managing teams across multiple sites.
- The management of all depot operations and maintenance activities.
- Managing budgets and resource requirements.
- Driving change and the continuous improvement of maintenance operations.
- Championing a ‘safety first’ culture across the operation.

- Significant experience leading and managing large teams.
- The demonstrated ability to lead change in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
- A commercially minded approach to operational management.
- Significant experience managing a complex maintenance operation in Rail/Transport or a similar industry.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
