A highly sought after opportunity of Test Methods Engineer has just become available and won’t last long in this market! The position will join our growing testing team, comprising a diverse and passionate group of subject matter experts, based at our Ballarat facility.
Using advanced testing software and tools, the Test Methods Engineer will have a lead role, preparing for testing and test execution on the X’Trapolis 2.0 Rolling Stock project. The role will see you;
- Create and publish train testing procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant Australian and ISO standards
- Interacting with the customer, functional and commissioning teams and colleagues to gain input for the test execution team and clarify technical points
- Undertake all readiness activities including procuring all relevant test execution tools
- Act as AUTOFIE (central tool for test execution) key user
- Apply knowledge of software and systems such as SAP, Microsoft, Ariba and/or similar
We are looking for not just an experienced professional, but a collaborative colleague to join the team. We are looking for someone can will bring;
- A desire to be part of a transformational rail project based in Ballarat, supporting our local community
- Experience in a test methods engineer or similar role, overseeing the test readiness processes
- Knowledge of test procedures and operations and an ability to communicate potential risks or failures to appropriate teams
- Willingness to build and maintain strong, transparent working relationships
- An engineering qualification
