We have exciting opportunities available for Test Technicians to join our team responsible for the delivery of the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project in Perth, Western Australia. In this role you will be responsible for the testing activities for the Onboard systems for different fleets operating across Perths network. You will play a key role in helping keep West Australia’s rail network safe and reliable.
Based onsite at Nowergup, you will perform electrical testing, validation, troubleshooting on components, assemblies and finished products using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and specialised test equipment.
Your future role:
- Conduct functional, continuity, insulation resistance and high‑voltage (HV) tests in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards
- Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults or deviations, escalating complex issues to engineering teams when required
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical instructions to support test and diagnostic activities
- Document all test results accurately, complete test reports and update quality or production systems as required
- Participate in root‑cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities when electrical issues are identified.
