Role description:
With the growing pipeline of work in our Mobility business in metro, road and rail projects, and recent project wins like Inland Rail K2G, Coffs Harbour Bypass and Sydney Metro West Eastern Tunnelling Package, we are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to be part of our team in Sydney. This is predominantly a geotechnical design role, with occasional opportunities for site inspection and investigation management. Under the guidance of our technical leaders, you will collaborate in the design and delivery of significant geotechnical structures including embankments, bridge abutments, foundations and complex retaining wall systems. You will get a diverse range of project and design experiences and a commitment to fulfilling your career goals.
Role accountabilities:
- Delivering geotechnical analysis and designs.
- Assisting with the production of drawings and preparing technical reports.
- Assisting with the delivery of geotechnical design packages, under program, technical quality and delivery requirements.
- Occasionally undertaking site investigations and inspections to ensure project compliance.
- Working in collaboration with other disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
You will come to us with:
- Tertiary qualifications in, or in your final year of, a relevant engineering degree.
- A passion for client-focus and the ability to deliver to client needs.
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and organised nature.
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- The ability to collaborate on projects, and work as part of a team.
The following will be looked upon favorably:
- University curriculum with a strong geotechnical focus.
- Experienced in the use of geotechnical analysis and design software.
