About us

View website

ARTC operates and maintains more than 9,600km of rail track across five states where we've invested billions of dollars to build, extend and upgrade our network to get freight off roads and onto rail. That's good for businesses, motorists, the environment and communities.

We work with rail operators to provide access to rail for businesses and producers across Australia, and in doing so, we help move large volumes of freight, from fresh produce to coal and timber to aggregates.

We manage the transit of hundreds of freight and passenger trains across our network every day.

We continue to meet the changing needs of our customers and seek to grow our organisation safely and in environmentally responsible ways.

We are committed to the health and safety of our people, the environment and the communities in which we operate. In all our efforts, we aim to be inclusive and build pride and loyalty in our workforce.

ARTC

At ARTC (Australian Rail Track Corporation), we are one of the largest rail network owners in Australia. With more than 1,800 employees across 39 locations, we all work towards our common goal to link the nation and keep Australia moving. As the rail industry undergoes significant transformation, we’ve invested billions of dollars to build, expand and modernise our network to get freight off the road and onto rail, and we’re not stopping. That’s good for our customers, motorists, the environment, and communities.

We foster inclusive, values led culture and embrace diversity in all forms. Together, our people build respectful, fair, and flexible workplace and we thrive on creating an environment where hard work and achievements are recognised.

Come and join us at ARTC and experience belonging
