Aurizon is offering an exciting opportunity for a Principal Financial Analyst to join the well-established Coal Commercial Finance team within our CFO and Strategy unit in Brisbane. Partnering with the coal business unit, you will work efficiently to provide comprehensive analysis and insights, that will assist the enterprise in achieving its strategic, financial and commercial objectives.
About the role:
- Partner with the Commercial team by providing advice on the evaluation of revenue proposals and ensuring risks/returns are well understood
- Develop, maintain and update financial models that support commercial negotiations, pricing and the BU long term forecast
- Support the Commercial team ensuring submissions are aligned with governance requirements and processes
- Assist with the development and presentation of business cases, reports and analysis for a range of stakeholders
About you:
- Tertiary qualification is mandatory with preferred degrees in accounting, commerce, economics, and finance
- Experience working within the logistics, resources / mining industries or professional services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a curious mindset
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to quickly assess and prioritise tasks in a fast-moving environment
