About the role: Due to continued growth within the Central Queensland Coal Network, our Works Planning team is looking for those with a trade/ planning/ engineering background to join their team as Infrastructure Maintenance Planners. These roles are crucial in ensuring our Network Business Unit completes work on time by planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects.
- Develop construction plans in consultation with the team to plan resources, estimate costs and schedule works.
- Perform risk analysis of all aspects of projects that are relevant at the planning stage to determine the risks to cost, commercial conditions, safety, environment and quality.
- Liaise with stakeholders, arrange and schedule track possessions and isolations to meet the requirements for project work activities.
- Plan and program resources to balance workload while meeting client requirements.
- Undertake inspections where required for planning, implementation, monitoring and finalisation stages.
- Operate within internal standards in the development of scopes, methodologies and cost estimates.
About you: Those with a technical background and/or extensive rail knowledge will be highly regarded. These roles work closely with Trade and Engineering teams; therefore, a base foundation of tech knowledge will see you succeed in these roles.
- Extensive knowledge of rail infrastructure construction, maintenance, safety standards and practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- An understanding in planning and programming major construction resources including personnel and plant.
- Experience in the supervision and coordination of field operations highly regarded.
- Substantial level of computing skills in word processing and spreadsheets/databases.
- Positive approach to work and a key team player.
