AEMO at the Heart of Energy
AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and system planner. AEMO’s purpose is to ensure safe, reliable and affordable energy today, and enable the energy transition for the benefit of all Australians. Australian governments are now committed to a net zero economy for Australia by 2050 and our vision is to enable this. We have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to co-design the future of our energy systems, and our core values revolve around character, commitment, and connection. Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector.
About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager WA Capacity and Connections, the Manager WA Connections plays a key role in supporting Western Australia's energy transition by coordinating the end-to-end onboarding of new generation, storage, transmission, distribution-connected facilities and large loads into the Southwest Interconnected System (SWIS) and Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM). - Provide consolidated reporting on facility readiness, project status, risks and dependencies to support governance and decision-making.
- Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance onboarding processes, stakeholder engagement and the scalability of connection frameworks.

- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex projects, programs or operational activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities, interdependencies, risks and delivery outcomes in a dynamic environment.

- Experience preparing reports, insights and recommendations for senior leaders and governance forums.
- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on achieving successful business outcomes.
