AEMO at the Heart of Energy
AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and system planner. AEMO’s purpose is to ensure safe, reliable and affordable energy today, and enable the energy transition for the benefit of all Australians. Australian governments are now committed to a net zero economy for Australia by 2050 and our vision is to enable this. We have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to co-design the future of our energy systems, and our core values revolve around character, commitment, and connection. Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector.
About the Team
The Victorian System Integration and Control team sits at the centre of one of Australia's most significant engineering challenges: integrating new renewable energy generation and transmission infrastructure into the Victorian power system safely, securely and reliably.
Our team brings together specialists in power systems, protection and network planning who work collaboratively to solve complex technical problems that have a direct impact on Australia's clean energy future. We partner closely with VicGrid, network businesses, generators and other industry stakeholders to help deliver the investments needed to support the transition to net zero emissions.
You'll join a supportive and highly skilled team that values knowledge sharing, continuous learning and helping one another succeed
About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Power Systems Engineer to take a leading role in shaping the future of Victoria's electricity network.

You'll influence critical investment decisions, provide expert advice to stakeholders and help ensure new infrastructure can be integrated into the power system safely and efficiently.
Beyond the technical work, you'll play an important mentoring role, supporting the growth and development of engineers across the team and contributing to a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
