Culture at Australia Post

quote image
When I joined Australia Post 10 years ago, I never imagined I’d end up leading national projects that shape the future of transport, but that’s exactly what Australia Post makes possible. As Project & Engagement Lead in National Fleet & Equipment, I’ve advanced my career through hands-on experience, leadership programs and supportive mentors who genuinely care about my development. What sets Australia Post apart is the breadth of opportunity - whether you’re on the tools, in the office or out in the field, there’s always a chance to learn, grow and take on new challenges. I’m proud to lead the charge on fleet electrification, delivering a cleaner, smarter future for the next generation.
Ainsleigh Project & Enablement Lead, Network Operations

About us

We’ve always played a vital role in moving Australia forward by connecting people, businesses and communities, and enabling them to prosper. This very same social purpose, helping people stay in touch, remains at the core of who we are and we’re proud that Australians have entrusted us to serve them for more than 200 years.

It's our people who deliver essential public services through millions of interactions every year and make a difference for our customers, large and small. So we’re committed to keeping our greatest asset – our people – safe and engaged, with appropriate resources and meaningful work.

How?

We're delivering on our values
We welcome you into a company culture that invests in its people for the long-term. We encourage growth through delivering on our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment and safety.

We're delivering opportunities
Choose how and where you want to work. You’re in the driver’s seat. We’ll help you develop your skills and steer you along a career path that works for you.

We're delivering a better tomorrow
Witness progress first-hand. It's about making a real impact, and building a better Australia, for everyone.

How else can we deliver for you?

Paid parental leave: Eligible team members can apply for paid parental leave for the first 14 weeks or opt to take it at half pay for the first 28 weeks.

Flexible & hybrid work opportunities: For our team members who are not customer-facing, facility-based or on the road, we have opportunities for combining working from our support office locations, home or remotely.

Female talent programs: Specialised talent programs (ProjectME and Elevate) designed to give women the tools to build resilience, self-awareness, career agility and help progress them into leadership roles and an internal community.

Internal networks and communities: Specialised internal networks to help support women at Australia Post and progress career opportunities (#NOW for women in Network Operations, HEROES for women in Tech and Women@Post for all women).

Commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce: We have gender equity commitments and targets, a Reconciliation Action Plan, and Access & Inclusion Plan which keep us accountable to our commitments in building workplaces that are as diverse as the communities we serve.

But don't just take our word for it...
