Our Internal Audit Team support the fulfilment of the Fund's third line of accountability via the provision of independent objective assurance and consulting activity designed to help improve operations to accomplish AustralianSuper's objectives, offer forward-looking insights, and enhance and protect organisation value. Your new role
As the Internal Audit Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and play a vital role in the expanding AustralianSuper internal audit team, delivering core elements of the annual Global Internal Audit Plan.
Internal Audit responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the Head of Internal Audit to establish a 'world class' Internal Audit function.
- Supporting the Head of Internal Audit to report to the Chief Executive and the Chair - Finance and Audit Committee (FAC).
- Executing a range of internal audit services targeted to operations and risks along with working with the external co-source provider of internal audit services.
- Providing final audit reports to management of the area audited, relevant stakeholders and the FAC.
- Working with relevant Risk Partners throughout the business to monitor progress by management to implement internal audit and external audit Findings and Action Plans.
- Utilising agreed methods and tools to produce quality, accurate and timely output that can be relied upon for cross functional assurance reference and reporting.
- Contributing to the development of technical standards and other supporting documentation to enable consistent design and implementation of the assurance processes across the Fund.
What you'll need
- Professional membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors-Australia.
- Knowledge of the International Professional Practices Framework issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors including the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Sound knowledge of legislation and codes applicable to financial services.
- Previous financial institution experience.
- Experience working with service providers.
- Proficient technical knowledge of internal auditing standards, concepts and principles.
- Exceptional report writing skills, planning and analytical skills.
- Diplomacy, high levels of initiative, self-control, self-confidence and flexibility.
- Curiosity to develop business acumen and fast strategic knowledge acquisition.
