Your new role
The Principal Treasury Operations sits within the wider Investment Operations function. The key service deliverables of Investment Operations include the delivery of transaction management and valuation processes and the management and monitoring of the Fund's cash, securities lending, and collateral & margining commitments.
Within this role you will support the design; development; and ongoing management & maintenance of the Fund's new Treasury Operations capability.
In the initial 12-24 months of the appointment, the role will be a key partner to deliver the Operational Readiness of the Liquidity Treasury Management System (LTMS) project, thereafter the role will oversee the day-to-day management of the global Treasury Operations capability in production.
Together with the Operations Leadership Team, the role will jointly lead and support the successful delivery of the complete suite of Investment Operations Services into the Investment teams.
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive success in the evolution of the Fund's Treasury Operations capability. The role will be expected to:
- Provide thought leadership in the design of the end-to-end Treasury Operations capability including all operating model considerations (People, Process, Systems, Data, & Vendor Services) to support the new Treasury Management business within Investments.
- Rapidly develop a robust understanding of the Fund's Treasury Operations team and existing cash and collateral operations capabilities to determine how these should evolve into an enhanced Treasury Operations capability.
- Provide counsel and direction to the Manager, Treasury Operations, and the Principal of APAC Operations, on how activities within the function can be effectively persisted and maintained while the Treasury Operations capability is being developed.
- Oversee, lead, and directly manage the new Treasury Operations capability within Investment Operations.
What you'll need
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
- Senior Leadership roles in Treasury Operations, Liquidity Operations and/or Cash & Collateral Operations in a financial services institution.
- Demonstrated experience with large business transformation initiatives in the financial services industry.
- Significant experience with Investment product & service capabilities. (i.e., Investment Management, Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, Treasury Operations, Fund Administration &/or Custody).
- Sound understanding of/experience with the Superannuation Industry and the regulatory environment in which it operates.
- Sound knowledge of the Financial Services industry and the way it operates globally; with the ability to bring to the table relevant market /industry insights, and an understanding of legislative/regulatory obligations to help inform operating model design thinking.
