Your New Team
This role sits within our Exposure Management team, which is part of the broader Capital Markets Department. The Capital Markets team is responsible for managing dealing, exposure management and balance sheet management investment capabilities for the Fund.
Your New Role
Exciting opportunity to join our Capital Markets team on a 12-month contract due to maternity leave as a Senior Analyst, Exposure Management.
As a Senior Analyst, you will report to the Senior Manager, Exposure Management and be responsible for assisting in the efficient implementation of investment decisions for the Exposure Management function.
Key Duties
- Monitoring current asset and currency exposures for each investment option
- Daily monitoring of market exposures and risks across Currency Hedging, Fixed Income Completion and Asset Class Mix overlay portfolios
- Monitoring, reviewing and analysing the performance of overlay portfolios versus mandate objectives
- Management of exposures and risks resulting from change related activities including manager funding and transitions
- Preparing recommendations for rebalancing actions
- Creation of required trade instructions to effectively manage overlay portfolios in line with prescribed mandates and objectives
- Interacting with Portfolio Managers to discuss upcoming investment activities and the support required
- Coordinating between the Capital Markets team and internal stakeholders, including attending key management forums
- Undertaking additional tasks and responding to ad-hoc queries and requests when required
What You'll Need
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
- Previous experience in finance, superannuation or investment banking
- Demonstrated understanding of superannuation fund structure and portfolio/overlay management
- Demonstrated understanding of investment principles, instruments and/or financial markets, particularly futures, currency and other derivative instruments
- Strong financial modelling skills/ advanced Excel knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a busy environment
- Great communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
