Your new role
The position is designed to analyse and report the impacts of investment decision making on AustralianSuper investment options, to support the junior team members, as well as automating calculation logic by transforming custodian data through data software and Performance system Ortec Pearl.
Some key responsibilities, but not limited to;
- Configure performance attribution using Performance system Ortec Pearl to reflect the investment process.
- Explain drivers of performance attribution results to senior investment forums
- Leverage SQL/Python skills to efficiently translate data and provide data logic to vendor systems
- Provide SME support for PEARL upgrades and perform system testing.
- Leverage APIs and PowerBI to automate the reporting process.
- Assist in designing and enhancing reporting provided to the department, including working with technology data vendors and internal Data teams to automate calculation logic
What you'll need
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Mathematics.
- Advanced use of MS Office products and investment system/s especially Excel, SQL and Python.
- Structured approach to resolving complex queries
- Solid understanding of financial markets and valuation of various instruments.
- Solid Understanding of relevant performance standards and methodologies.
- Experience working with Technology vendors and investment data teams
- Experience with undertaking analysis of information and drawing of conclusions.
- Understanding of unit pricing principle and processes and custodian workflow.
