Your new role
Remediation Management is a new capability within Fund Services and these roles will be key senior contributors to the design, development and embedding of a scalable, simple and repeatable approach to delivering appropriate and sustainable remediation outcomes for members and the Fund.
In these roles you will need to have a bias to action, think deeply and play an active role in both the Remediation Management Team and the dispersed Business Groups where some remediation occurs. You will also be responsible to document, socialise and continuously uplift practices that allow AustralianSuper to remediate honestly, efficiently and fairly.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Key contributor to design and develop a scalable and simple approach to achieving appropriate and sustainable remediation outcomes.
- Design, assess and continuously improve on oversighting remediation activities underway in dispersed business teams.
- Act autonomously to understand, assess and propose solutions to complex problems faced by the business groups to continuously improve the effectiveness of remediation capability.
- Identify current practices with 3rd parties, track enhancements to relationship dynamics and work with 3rd parties to prioritise spend to increase effective in our end to end flow.
- Assess the delivery of methodology triage from remediations and provide a view to the effectiveness
- Document and challenge the status quo with evidence-based decision making - including appropriate and simple metrics that provide solid data for informed decision making, such as business strategy alignment, cost/benefit, and cost/quality/risk.
- Ensure risk is managed in accordance with the Fund's Risk Management Framework including risk identification and management, risk profiling, risk reporting and incident management.
What you'll need
- Either relevant and recent experience in complex regulatory or remediation programs or building and managing remediation lifecycles within a remediation office
- Demonstrate an ability to progress through ambiguity with a sense of structure and momentum.
- Ability to know when you have met the requirements and when to exceed the expectations while straying away from perfectionism.
- Enjoys complexity, variety and is curious about understanding complex issues. Ability to display humility with feedback and is prepared to speak up and escalate.
- Proven experience preparing for and responding to regulatory requests, audits and risk deep dives.
- Understands the connection between remediation and AustralianSuper's mission statement.
- Creating dependable, repeatable and low touch reporting for Management and Board.
