T26 ADT Senior Engineer (Asset and Data Tracking)
Would you like to be part of the Asset and Data Tracking (ADT) team on the Type 26 Frigate programme? We currently have a vacancy for a T26 ADT Senior Engineer on the Clyde at our sites in Scotstoun / Govan.
As a T26 ADT Senior Engineer, you will be collaborating with teams in Operations, Engineering, Logistics and a range of stakeholders to deliver the ADT objectives in a timely manner. You will be involved in investigating and resolving known and arising ADT issues collaborating with functional experts, and the wider Naval Ships and Maritime Services business as required.
As part of this role we will provide you with regular opportunity to go on-board ship during build, allowing you to gain a fuller understanding of the physical assets involved.
Your main responsibilities as a T26 ADT Senior Engineer will involve:
Performing regular audits on the ship and in the workshops, as required, to ensure Operations personnel accurately scan and record work achieved for tracked parts
Collating data, in a timely manner, to progressively complete the tracked items registers
Engaging with the Design, Engineering, Test & Commissioning and Operations teams to deliver ADT requirements ensuring the intent is fully understood and implemented
Reviewing of Engineering and supplier documents; drawings, schematics, COCs, certificates, SUP026, iBOM etc to aid with ensuring quality of the data captured
Developing good relationships with suppliers to provide advice and guidance to manage, oversee and assist them to deliver high quality Support deliverable right first time and on schedule
Interacting and actively collaborating with a wide-ranging set of stakeholders including T26 engineers/managers, suppliers and the Customer
Your skills and qualifications:
- Good understanding of logistics (e.g movement and control of parts)
- Understanding of technical drawings and documents
- Must have a good understanding of certification
