The Electronic Systems (ES) sector spans the commercial and defence electronics markets with a broad portfolio of mission-critical electronic systems, including flight and engine controls; electronic warfare and night vision systems; surveillance and reconnaissance sensors; secure networked communications equipment; geospatial imagery intelligence products and systems; mission management; and power-and energy-management systems. Occupational Health Advisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Electronic Systems for a full time in house Occupational Health Advisor at our site based in Rochester.
Reporting to the Occupational Health Manager, as an Occupational Health Advisor you will be responsible for providing a full Occupational Health remit.
No two days are the same within this role, as it is incredibly varied. This role is not just focused on case work but will give you the opportunity for hands on experience and diversity.
Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Health Advisor will involve:
- Supporting health surveillance (mainly spirometry), case management, undertaking travel health risk assessments and administering vaccines
- Supporting employees with domestic or work-related problems, with a particular focus on mental health
- Delivering training such as CPR to company employees
Your skills and qualifications:
- It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse, preferably with a post registration qualification in occupational health
- Proven experience working in a similar role
- Experience of travel medicals and vaccinations is essential
- Experience of using OPAS or similar systems
What we are looking for in you:
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have excellent team player skills with the ability to take on individual tasks and perform with minimal supervision. A flexible approach to your work is essential as this is a broad ranging role incorporating welfare type tasks outside the normal occupational health role. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required, with a friendly and approachable manner.
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £40,000+ pending experience
