Job title: New Product Introduction Manager
Location: Rochester (Kent)
Salary: Circa £50,000
What you’ll be doing:
Managing a team of New Product Introduction (NPI) Leads and NPI Engineers in the delivery of multiple projects from initial estimate through to qualification, culminating in a product that will achieve quality, cost and delivery schedule
Accountable for the on site development Machine Shop in terms of output and business case justifications for investment in new machining and rapid prototyping equipment
Working with project teams to identify the future products and technologies and planning the R&D tasks and budgets to successfully introduce them into the Manufacturing environment
Establishing cross-functional links with the Engineering function in the development and deployment of processes such as AS9145
Providing reporting packs to Senior Leadership covering Manufacturing assessment of the producibility of the product at each phase of the development lifecycle
Identifying resource requirements for the team to support current & future project demands
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience in applying Design For Manufacture principles to new products from initial concept through to introduction to production
Leading and managing a team
Desirable
Experience of working with optical, electronic or mechanical products
Greenbelt certified with experience of Lean 6 Sigma improvement projects
AS9145 application including PFMEA facilitation experience

The Manufacturing Engineering Team:
As the NPI Manager, you will play a pivotal role in in shaping and delivering our future product offerings and development services.You will work with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure that concurrent practices are maintained between the disciplines to ensure that new designs can be manufactured to required quality, cost and time requirements.
