About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join BOQ Group (which includes Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money Australia and ME Bank) as a Business Analyst – Cards and Payments during our digital transformation journey on a permanent basis. By joining the digital bank of the future, you will be able to make a difference with integrity and empathy by supporting our cards and payments ecosystem, adding significant value to our organisation. With exciting projects currently underway, you will be a key contributor to unique business development and change across the BOQ Group.
As a Business Analyst – Cards and Payments, you will primarily support BOQ Group’s cards and payments ecosystem, working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, product owners and more to bridge the gap between technology and the business. You will seek to improve processes and systems by defining business problems through in-depth investigation and the gathering of technical and non-technical information. Your core duties will include you aligning information technology systems with business operations, thoroughly analysing and developing innovative integrated software solutions.
Working closely with the team, you will produce high quality documentation that captures the businesses technical requirements, further playing an active role in creating the business readiness plan, communication plan, test strategy, migration strategy, test scope, test execution plan, training documents and production verification testing documents.
Furthermore, you will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times, providing functional expertise (on assigned functional areas) to solution designers, developers, testers and business groups. This includes facilitating meetings and workshops, further acting as a liaison between internal/external customers and geographically disbursed delivery teams.
This is a challenging and exciting role in a progressive environment utilising cutting-edge data and technology to assist BOQ Group in our digital transformation.
About you
With a background in cards and payments solutions (card lifecycle, card management systems, VISA Mastercard, EFTPOS, ATM, POS, NPP, direct entry and scheme compliances), you will have the ability to influence and resolve ambiguous problems. You will also have a solid understanding of payment messages such as AS2805, ISO 8583, ISO 20022, CS1 and CS2. This will in turn lead to deep knowledge of key banking platforms and tools such as Fiserv, VisionPLUS, Cadencie, T24, Base Global and FINSIM.
Naturally, you will demonstrate impressive collaboration skills within cross-functional teams, supported by the ability to extensively process map from start to finish and identify the key actors, systems and controls as part of the process map. Demonstrating exceptional communication skills, you enjoy proactively communicating with the business to understand changes to systems and/or processes, coupled with the ability to prioritise initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Above all else, you will have an uncompromised passion for the customer and enjoy cultivating business opportunities and partnerships.
