About the Role
BOQ’s highly regarded Procurement team has a fantastic immediate opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join their expanding team.
With the flexibility to be based out of our Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne office, you will be an experienced Procurement professional or an up-and-coming star who will deliver procurement solutions that maximise value, manage risk, improve efficiencies and ensure quality for the BOQ Group.
We are looking for someone who has a broad set of procurement skills with a flexible and adaptable approach. You will be working across a range of indirect categories and projects within the Bank including Property, Corporate Services, Distribution Services and more. Previous exposure to the Banking & Finance sector will see you hit the ground running in the role but is not mandatory.
A typical day will entail developing and delivering strategic sourcing solutions that support BOQ Group strategic direction, through the procurement lifecycle including planning, sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, stakeholder and supplier management.
You will enjoy identifying and delivering opportunities for savings based on improved efficiencies both for the Bank and for our Suppliers, and you will have top-tier stakeholder management skills to allow you to liaise with and support our business stakeholders.
As part of your role, you will develop category plans in conjunction with key business stakeholders, ensuring a holistic view of the category activity across BOQ, a clear strategy for increasing value to BOQ, and robust plan of initiatives to realise that value. You will also reduce and manage risk through compliance with procurement policies and procedures, APRA material contract regulations, code of conduct, ethical practices and adherence with relevant laws and regulations throughout the procurement lifecycle
About you
Our successful candidate will be spirited and passionate and enjoy being a part of our energetic and high performing Procurement team, who are transforming and raising the profile of Procurement at BOQ!
We are looking for a customer-centric Procurement professional with a proven track record in overseeing all aspects of the procurement lifecycle including 'Go to Market' activities, proposal evaluation, commercial analysis and drafting and negotiation of complex contracts/agreements.
Banking & Financial Services experience is desirable (however not mandatory).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as is your ability to tailor your approach and communication style depending on your audience, which will assist in achieving outcomes and maintaining relationships across the business.
If you want to be a part of our Procurement transformation journey and the above sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you!
