Project Overview:

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking candidates for the Site Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Lead role. This will be a jobsite-based FIFO role, focused on planning and implementation of jobsite IS&T setup, connectivity and broad technology support for the construction team.

Major Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project IS&T Lead, the key focus of this role is to work with the Project Management Team (PMT), Client IS&T team and Bechtel Information and Digital (I&D) management to ensure project communications, IT infrastructure and related services are fully implemented and supported successfully. The role:

• Coordinates project IT infrastructure and computing environment implementation to support project execution at the jobsite
• Meets regularly with the Project IS&T team, PMT, Client IS&T representatives and project personnel to understand the overall project IT needs - reports to project management on current plans, priorities, actions and roadblocks
• Expedites actions on current status, issues and resolutions in an accurate, effective and timely manner
• Implements the jobsite IT infrastructure setup, and subsequently supports the development and leads implementation of the project IS&T closeout plan.
• Coordinates with the Project IS&T Lead and other IS&T personnel (project and corporate) to maintain open communications and provide a customer-focused service for the analysis and resolution of IT infrastructure issues (network, hardware, software, etc.)
• Works within a standardised global support model, leveraging established global governance for IS&T services and support, change management, asset management, etc.
• Provides leadership and day to day direction to other Project IS&T team members.
• Supports an innovation culture, seeking opportunities to improve and standardise processes and data, and to promote AI methodologies.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Industry experience gained through a recognised degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialized courses in IT, Engineering or related fields, and/or extensive work experience in a STEM-related field.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

The role requires a blend of individual leadership, customer service, and analytical and technical skills. Some key attributes you bring to this role include:

• Strong ability to partner with project teams to review and understand end-to-end work processes and IS&T planning to support study and project execution
• Experience with managing successful teams including mentoring and guiding junior team members
• Experience managing budgets and scope changes that may have a cost or schedule impact
• Strong technical knowledge of a broad range of IT technologies, including desktop and server computing, cloud computing, wired and wireless networks, construction site technology (two-way radio, wireless point to point communications, access control, etc.)
• Knowledge of work processes, applications and data integration to a level which allows development of clear documentation and articulation of IT plans that support project execution
• Able to translate technical information into practical terms for discussion and presentation to broad audiences including senior site leadership
• Demonstrate a strong safety focus and value the development and maintenance of client relationships that clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
