We have a permanent opportunity for a Communications Manager to join the Internal Communications team, reporting into the Senior Manager Communications. The role will be instrumental in the design and delivery of impactful, outcomes-focused internal communications. It is an opportunity to draw on your innovative, creative and analytical mindset to create compelling content that engages our internal audiences in a changing communications landscape. There will be a strong focus on building solid cross-functional relationships with key internal teams, working through complex problems, developing and delivering key messages and supporting with digital and visual communications activities.

This role can be based in any of our main office locations: Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne – as required, in a hybrid approach. Some days you’ll be in the office, and other days you’ll be working from home to help better balance your life and work.
As the Communications Manager you will:
- Provide internal communications advice and support with respect to key initiatives, major projects, updates, announcements and events.
- Ensure connection with the Bank’s overall purpose and Group Strategy.
- Collaborate and communicate across functions to share industry best practice and organisational knowledge and expertise.
Develop and coordinate communications plans and messaging including but not limited to:
- Writing and editing content for internal group-wide and divisional channels (e.g. intranet and Yammer) and events
- Provide support such as speaking notes and leader resources
- Support in-business communications activities (e.g. transformation, business projects/changes, budget, sales and marketing initiatives and other programs).
- Contribute to the editorial committee by seeking out internal stories and opportunities, connecting the dots between businesses and teams to share compelling stories.
- Identify internal channels to share the stories so we’re communicating to the right people, in the right places.
- Create and support impactful internal campaigns that includes reporting with actionable insights for stakeholders
- Proactively collaborate and partner with key internal stakeholders across the enterprise to understand and support their business and communications needs.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to address key priorities and ensure alignment to the Group Strategy, messaging consistency, and risk mitigation.

- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
- Demonstrated ability to build a communication strategy that supports both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand qualitative and quantitative communications metrics and how to apply insights to drive innovation and deliver improved outcomes.
