About the team and role
The Credit Policy team leads the formulation and administration of the Bank’s credit risk lending policy and framework. The team assists the Bank to ensure that its credit risk profile is within its risk appetite and to achieve its business objectives. This is a well-established and experienced team
The primary purpose of the Credit Policy Manager role is to develop, maintain and support the Bank’s Credit Policy, including consumer and commercial lending.
We are open to candidates coming from various backgrounds including Banking & Finance, Lending, Credit, Policy, Communications as the role offers opportunities to build strong networks across our organisation, be involved in strategic plans and outcomes, understand of the role of risk in an Enterprise-wide view and where you’ll gain exposure to our regulatory obligations now and into the future.
Experience, capabilities and qualifications
Experience with commercial / Agricultural banking lending will be highly advantageous
- Lending, credit decisioning or credit risk management background either front-line banking, Group Credit or other
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapting communication style to suit varying audiences
- Strategic thinking including a flexible approach to problem solving and sound analytical skills
- Focus on process efficiency with innovative and agile ways of working
Desirable
- Ability to read and reasonably understand technical documents (i.e., regulatory and legislative)
- Understanding of industry best practice credit or other policies and procedures
- Tertiary qualifications not required however relevant banking or financial related degree qualifications would be favourably considered
