About the Department
The Enterprise Procurement team is a critical part of our Finance Division. The objectives of the team are to deliver value to our business stakeholders, source ‘best of breed’ solutions from capable suppliers and manage on-going strategic relationships and contracts. This is done in an open, transparent, and equitable manner in keeping with the Bank’s critical behaviours.
About the Role
The Sourcing Officer will support the Sourcing Team across diverse procurement categories to derive best-value third party supplier solutions and capability.
The Sourcing Officer will have well developed analytical, communications and stakeholder management skills to provide an objective and balanced perspective in the evaluation and selection of goods and services, along with negotiation skills to achieve contractual outcomes that preserve and protect the interests of the Bank.
Your role will be to support the business in sourcing, negotiating and partnering with suppliers for low risk and low-medium spend engagements across Procurement categories such as IT and Telco, Marketing, Professional Services, Banking Services and Property. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the Enterprise Procurement team including reporting, cost benefit analysis and process improvement.
Ideal entry role to join the team delivering a robust procurement service. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Experience, skills and capabilities
- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (such as, but not limited to, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal or IT) highly advantageous
- Experience in reviewing and summarising commercial contracts
- Experience with developing metrics, projections, and financial models.
- Ability to objectively qualify and quantify financial capability, compliance, billing, and value for money reviews.
- Ability to identify cost saving opportunities from spends associated with products & services.
- Ability to analyse, deconstruct and risk evaluate proposals and offerings
